TTI State Headquarters and Research Building Grand Opening Video

November 8, 2011

This video was featured at the grand opening of TTI’s new State Headquarters and Research Building in 2010. Following that ceremony, the video showed silently on floor directory monitors in the State Headquarters building. Viewers are visually introduced to TTI’s nine major research areas: mobility, economics, safety, freight movement, human factors, infrastructure, environment, security and workforce development. TTI Communications partnered with TTI’s Administration to produce this product.

November 7, 2011

These Public Service Announcements were created to raise awareness on the part of motorcycle riders and automobile drivers in Texas. The PSAs also urges motorcycle riders to enroll in The Course. The Course teaches skills to new and experienced riders. When the PSAs were produced, The Course was optional. It is now required for all new motorcycle owners in Texas. Report Impaired Drivers Campaign

October 24, 2011

Report Impaired Drivers is a public educational initiative being piloted in Deer Park, Texas in an effort to reduce driving while intoxicated (DWI)-related crashes in Harris County. The three-year initiative is being developed by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and with the support of the City of Deer Park.

The goal of this project is to improve DWI arrest and disposition data by arresting agencies, prosecuting agencies, and court clerks by raising awareness of the importance of reporting information to DPS for inclusion into the CCH database.

By improving reporting efforts, decisions can be made by each law enforcement agency, prosecuting agency, and court clerk on behalf of the State in an attempt to reduce the number of DWIs on Texas roadways.
